Requirements:
|
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Related field. Eight to ten years' experience in Patient Access.MUST have experience running Patient Access for a MULTIPLE HOSPITAL SYSTEM.
Must have a strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third party liability. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of management, physicians, clinicians, payers and customers. Proficient in MS Office applications. Demonstrates ability to handle difficult situations by using effective critical thinking and problem solving skills. Demonstrated experience as a leader in project management. Ability to manage several projects in a team environment.

Description:

Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Payer Contracting and Revenue Operations, primarily responsible for planning and directing activities of all patient access services within Southeastern Wisconsin. This includes, but is not limited to, pre-registration, registration, pre-certification/authorization, central scheduling, financial counseling in the hospital and medical group setting. This position is responsible for ensuring that system wide goals for patient access are measured and achieved. Also responsible for maintaining and enhancing physician and patient relations and creating an environment conducive to overall growth and system integration. Also responsible for facilitating the integration of Wheaton wide Patient Access policies and procedures to support Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare vision of a regionally integrated health care delivery system with the aim of improving the health care of individual’s and the community we serve.
Will work collaboratively with hospital, outpatient clinic, medical group, and other system-wide associates/leaders to develop and implement efficient revenue management systems related to patient access that minimize rework, non-value added processes, and work-around, using the most proactive match of technology and human resources. Will develop detailed plans for process improvement for Patient Access and overall revenue cycle. Will develop programs that increase upfront cash collections at time of registration. Will coordinate system implementation, services, training and problem solving in collaboration with patient access managers.
